Common Experiences with Parenting
Many parents describe feeling caught between wanting to be calm, patient, and connected... and feeling stretched beyond their limits. You may find yourself reacting in ways you don’t recognize, questioning your parenting, or feeling alone in the emotional weight you’re carrying. Counselling offers space to slow down, reflect, and feel supported rather than evaluated.
How Counselling Helps
Parenting support counselling focuses on emotional support, nervous system regulation, and understanding the relational patterns that show up under stress. Rather than focusing on quick fixes or behaviour charts, sessions centre on strengthening connection, increasing emotional safety, and helping parents feel more grounded and confident in their role.
Theraplay® Informed Support
I offer parenting support informed by Theraplay®, a relationship-based approach that focuses on strengthening attachment, emotional connection, and felt safety between parent and child. Theraplay® uses playful, structured interactions to support regulation, trust, and connection, helping parents feel more confident and children feel more secure.

Parenting sessions may involve working directly with caregivers, or gentle parent-child interactions guided by the therapist. The focus is always on connection rather than correction, and on supporting both the child’s emotional needs and the parent’s capacity.
