About Me
The person behind the practice
I grew up in the Red Deer area and have a deep love for this part of the world. I am a wife and a mom to two young children who keep me busy when I’m not counselling. We live on an acreage just outside of town where you will often find us riding through the fields on the Ranger, chasing our puppy around the yard, or playing on our well loved swing set. I love long walks outside, especially when the weather is warm enough to soak up the sunshine, and travelling is another passion of mine.

Why I do this Work
I became a counsellor because I know what it feels like to be truly seen. To be known and accepted can be life changing. Growing up, I had people in my life who listened deeply and made me feel less alone, and that experience continues to guide the way I work.
While I use evidence based approaches, I believe healing happens most powerfully in relationship. In a space where you feel known, accepted, and supported, and where you can breathe and not feel so alone with what you are carrying

Although I work with people from many walks of life, I have a special place in my heart for working with mothers. Motherhood has been one of the most beautiful and also one of the loneliest seasons of my own life. You carry a lot, your identity shifts, and caring for yourself often comes last. I am passionate about creating a space where mothers feel supported, understood, and reminded that they do not have to do this alone.

When it comes to couples work, this is an area I am deeply passionate about. Too often, couples drift into survival mode and lose sight of what it means to truly thrive together. Through learning communication skills, practical tools, and new ways of relating, I believe couples can move toward experiencing a relationship that feels more connected, fulfilling, and supportive. This work is close to my heart because these skills are rarely taught, either at school or at home. I am passionate about supporting couples on this journey because strong, healthy relationships shape every other area of life and, when cared for intentionally, can be one of life’s most meaningful and beautiful gifts.
How I Work With Clients
My work is grounded in compassion, emotional safety, and genuine connection. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are, without needing to perform, explain everything perfectly, or have clear answers. Counselling is a place to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and feel supported as you navigate whatever season you are in. I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels right for you. My role is not to fix you, but to walk alongside you as understanding, clarity, and connection begin to take shape.
My Background
Before becoming a counsellor, I was a teacher. I loved my time in the classroom, and it gave me a strong foundation in understanding child development, learning, and behaviour. This background continues to shape my work, especially in supporting parents and families.

Rooted in Compassion
Curiosity allows us to approach your story with compassion, instead of judgment.
Person-Centered
I work with you at your own pace, supporting you in what matters most to you... it's your agenda, not mine!
Aware of the Deeper Story
The stories that we tell ourselves matter. Bringing awareness to the deeper meanings behind life events is often part of our work together.
Attachment-Based
I help people understand how early relationships shape how they connect and respond emotionally today. Together, we build more secure and compassionate ways of relating.
